If your school is planning on
attending, please complete the online registration no later than March 25, 2011.
Lunch will be available for purchase on the day of the Spelling Bee for $5.00 per person and will include pizza, chips, cookie, and drink. Please make sure the students/teachers have the necessary cash to purchase their lunch. Students/teachers can bring a bag lunch if desired.
Each school is required to being at least one adult who can help in facilitating the bee as judges. The requirements for the judges are as follows:
Spelling Master – Pronounces the word to be spelled and automatically gives a sentence. (One who is articulate, has a good command of the English language, and does not have a dialect that would interfere with the pronunciation of words.)
- Recording Judge – Writes down each letter as the contestant spells
- Arbitrator/round keeper – resolves questions or conflicts regarding rules or procedures and keeps record of the rounds.

Spell It 2011. On the home page click
the left box where you see the list of words in Latin, Arabic, and French etc. Download
the entire list including the list of “Words you need to know” You will need to click on each language and
print each list individually.
